What is Custom Proxy Support?

Custom proxy support allows Pro and Business users to configure their own proxy servers for scraping requests. This gives you enhanced privacy, better reliability, and the ability to use your existing proxy infrastructure.

Instead of using PinLeads' default proxy servers, you can route all scraping traffic through your own proxies or proxy rotation services.

Supported Proxy Types

HTTP Proxies

Standard HTTP/HTTPS proxies for general use. Format: http://username:password@proxy-server:port

SOCKS5 Proxies

SOCKS5 proxies for enhanced security and performance. Format: socks5://username:password@proxy-server:port

How to Configure

Upgrade to Pro or Business

Custom proxy support is available for Pro (starting at $9.99/month) and Business (starting at $29.99/month) subscribers only.

Go to Account Settings

Navigate to your Account Settings page and scroll to the Proxy Settings section.

Enter Your Proxy URL

Paste your proxy server URL in the format: http://username:password@proxy-server:port

Enable Proxy

Click "Enable Proxy" to activate your custom proxy for all scraping requests.

Test Your Setup

Run a small scraping job to verify your proxy is working correctly.

  • Consider using a proxy closer to the target servers

Connection errors?

  • Check if your proxy supports HTTPS

  • Try HTTP instead of HTTPS if your proxy doesn't support SSL
